Abstract

Soybean is the oldest crops and one of the main sources of vegetable oil and protein production, which ranks first in the world in terms of oil production. The cirrent research aimed to determine of benefit and its effect factors on irrigated Soybean production during 2000-2021 in Golestan and Mazandaran provinces and carried out in 2023. In order to determining of the effective factors on crop product used regression analysis and production function estimated and to evaluate the profitability of production benefit-cost ratio creteria used. According to the results, benefit-cost ratio in Soybean production in Golestan and Mazandaran provinces was estimated 1.8 and 1.34 respectively. Based on the tests and goodness of appropriate indices of the models, the transcendental production function without intercept was selected as the appropriate production function in the target areas. The results showed that, in Golestan province, the explanatory variables of annual rainfall, potash and phosphate fertilizers have a positive and statistically significant effect as effective variables on production. In Mazandaran province, explanatory variables of annual rainfall and labor have a positive and significant effect on crop production. In both provinces, the explanatory variable of annual rainfall has had the greatest impact on crop production.
